Turning Dreams Into Reality…
Have you ever wanted to do something so much that you dream about this love of yours with your eyes wide open, and shut? If you’re even the slightest bit like me, you have.
Looking back…I can say with confidence, that the first line I ever drew, painted, beaded, sculpted, soldered, stamped, felted, punched, hooked, wove, tatted and stitched, lead me passionately into making this dream come true for me and all those I have the pleasure of creating with each day.
Harlan Fiber Arts, is an ever growing dream of mine that allows me to offer you an opportunity to learn, or further your learning, through in person hands-on workshops, retreats and online classes, using a multitude of art mediums, specializing in the use of fibers and textiles.
My love for the arts, has been influenced by many people in my life, beginning with my paternal great grandmother who taught me how to sew, quilt, needlepoint, cross stitch, and embroider. My maternal grandmother was the first to introduce me to the art of sewing garments, which my mother, college, employers and colleagues further supported.
I remain grateful for the exposure, for my many inspiring mentors, and for the valuable training I’ve received over the years.
It’s because of these people and knowledge, that I feel lucky to be able to share my dream, and 35+ years of experience with you, as I continue to teach for other venues across the country, and now through my own local studio.
Share the dream,
See you in class!
Christine Harlan
